In the 1990s, RANK was one of the first practices to receive accreditation from the ACR. After the ABR initiated the MOC program, it became our unanimous decision to require all physicians to enroll, regardless of whether they were lifetime certificate holders. In 2011, RANK established the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement position to emphasize our commitment to this cause. We also created a dedicated Quality Improvement Oversight Committee in 2017 to continuously assess and improve our practice’s quality efforts.

RANK works closely with our client sites’ technologists, administration, and medical staff on quality initiatives. To support their ACR Accreditation requirements, our radiologists perform routine double-readings, and we initiated an automated web-based peer review program in 2008. Today, the team double-reads a percentage of all cases within 24 hours.

Another example of RANK working cooperatively with our client sites is our extensive work with St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s Radiology Department management to secure recognition for the healthcare system as an ACR Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence. The award was the first in the Cincinnati area and the first in Kentucky.
